Autonomous Monitoring
In autonomous mode, the sensor is configured before deployment, and once deployed, operates independently.
Set-up
Choose anb_utils menu option 1. Measurement Settings to configure your sensor into autonomous monitoring mode.
Autonomous Mode Operation
In autonomous mode, the sensor operates independently, following a pre-set measurement routine. Key details about this mode:
- Disabled Communications: All major communication functions to the sensor are disabled in this mode.
- Automatic Start: The sensor begins its pre-set scan routine immediately upon power-up.
- Audio Signals:
- On power-up, the sensor emits a single beep.
- 1–3 seconds later, it emits three additional beeps to confirm it has started operating.
- Streaming pH Data: When the sensor is connected to a terminal interface via an appropriate program, it streams live pH data.
Accessing Functions in Autonomous Mode
To access the sensor’s full menu functions or reconfigure its operation:
- Access the Full Menu:
- Open the anb_utils application while the sensor is switched on.
- This action stops the current scan routine and allows for reconfiguration.
- Returning to Autonomous Mode:
- Either repower the sensor, or
- Send a reboot command from the Command Line Prompt.
- The sensor then restarts its pre-set measurement routine.
tip
If you lose communication to the sensor open the anb_utils application, turn on the sensor, wait for the start-up beeps and then select your com port
